About Congreso

CONGRESO BUENOS AIRES: This is one of the oldest districts of the city. This area is very because it has old theatres, cinemas, shops, etc. It is called like that because of the Congress of the Argentine Nation, the legislative branch of the government of Argentina, wich is situated at the end of Avenida de Mayo. At the other end is located the Casa Rosada. In front of the building lies the Square of the Two Congresses, which is popular with tourists, as well as a preferred location for protestors and those who want to voice their opinion about Congress activities. In this area you can also find the Justice Palace and the Colón theatre.
